Calculating every millimeter of design
Our engineers create precise 2D and 3D drawings for joinery, furniture, and accommodation spaces, covering every fixing, tolerance, and installation detail.
We support outfitters and shipyards with principal drawings, 1:20 and 1:2 detailing, and comprehensive production documentation.
Using advanced CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, TopSolid’Wood, Siemens NX, and other 3D systems, we align seamlessly with our clients’ workflows and technical standards.
With integrated CNC output, part lists, and cross-discipline coordination, we ensure an efficient and accurate transition from design to production — down to the last millimeter.
Our software solution
Netspace/ Box Drawings

Netspace, or box drawings, define the 3D geometry of interior spaces on board.
They form the basis for accurate coordination between interior, structural, and system engineering.
At Trimm, these models are integrated early into the overall 3D yacht model, ensuring precise alignment, conflict-free layouts, and efficient production detailing.
This process creates a reliable digital foundation that improves accuracy, reduces rework, and supports a seamless transition from concept to construction.
Your Best Choice for Engineering
Assembly drawings

Our 3D assembly drawings bring interiors to life with full spatial and production accuracy.
Working in TopSolid’Wood, Siemens NX, and AutoCAD, we create coordinated 3D models that integrate structure, systems, and furniture.
Beyond modeling, Trimm can set up and manage 3D libraries — including masterfile creation in TopSolid’Wood (TSW) — to ensure design consistency, parametric efficiency, and faster project delivery.
These models enable early clash detection, CNC data output, and seamless coordination between design and production.

The process of creating assembly drawings (1:20) forms a crucial bridge between design and interior production.
At Trimm, our engineers translate concept layouts into buildable technical documentation that meets the specific requirements of each shipyard and outfitter.
Our 2D assembly drawings (1:20) form the foundation for accurate production and installation.
They translate design intent into detailed layouts and elevations, showing all joinery, fixing, and tolerance information required for manufacturing.
With years of experience across different drawing standards and methods, our engineers adapt seamlessly to each client’s workflow — ensuring that every drawing supports precision, clarity, and a smooth transition to the workshop phase.
Production drawings

For projects that demand advanced integration and automation, our team develops 3D production drawings using TopSolid’Wood (TSW), Siemens NX, Rhino, PaletteCAD and various other 3D CAD software. Within these platforms, we build parametric master models and manage 3D libraries that ensure consistency across repetitive elements.
Our workflow includes automated generation of Bills of Materials (BOM), part lists, and CNC output, directly linked to the 3D model.
This enables seamless data exchange between engineering and manufacturing, minimizing human error and accelerating production efficiency.
With both 2D and 3D capabilities, Trimm provides build-ready documentation that aligns precisely with the client’s chosen workflow — from concept validation to workshop execution.

In 2D, we develop clear and detailed fabrication drawings that communicate directly with workshop teams and subcontractors. These drawings provide section views, part labeling, and connection details, tailored to the production standards of each client or shipyard.
This method remains ideal for projects where precision and clarity in manual production are critical.
Workshop preparation and CNC

Another sought after service within our interior engineering department is our Workshop Preparation & CNC for cutting files and CNC milling. Our engineers have extensive experience in this field of workshop preparation that accelerates the efficiency of the production process. By using one of our popular 3D software solutions, Trimm can deliver complete CNC files which can be imported into the panel sizing and CNC routing machines. Workshop preparation also includes material lists, hardware lists/ drawings and purchase lists.
